U.P. Composers of New Music (UP CONEMUS)
Basic Info
Write-up
COMPOSERS OF NEW MUSIC (CONEMUS) is the organization of student-composers of 20th century art music from the University of the Philippines College of Music, and as with any other organization, it engages in activities which further the interests of its members.
The collective interests of the members of CONEMUS fall under two broad categories, namely: development of skills in the craft of composition, and dissemination of the music which is the result of said craft. As such, the members have organized or have actively engaged in concerts, Audio CD productions, workshops, symposia, and lectures of a primarily academic nature. Recently, there has been a move to branch out from the academic to the public.
