U.P. Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (UP JPIA)
Basic Info
Write-up
The UP Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants is a duly recognized and accredited student organization based in the UP College of Business Administration.
It aims to promote the highest standards of competence and excellence among business administration and accountancy students. As such, it has continously provided its members with opportunties, through the initiation of student projects, to enable them to become industry leaders and professionals.
A multi-awarded organization, UP JPIA seeks to cultivate well-rounded individuals through exposure to a wide variety of projects from the socio-civic and socio-cultural (proven by the achievements of the UP JPIA Choir, its many years as winner of UP CBA’s Stained Glass competition, and perennial formidability in cheering competitions such as the UP CBA BACBACAN and UP Pep Squad’s Elevate) to the more rudimentary academic and financial-related. In fact, it currenlty spearheads three massive student projects in the University: the Freshmen Orientation Program Committee (FOPC), the UP Diliman Student Leaders’ Convention (SLC), and the University Job Fair (UJF), the last, a role it has held for almost a decade now.
It also boasts of a number of the University’s Summa Cum Laude graduates, University Valedictorians, and College Valedictorians among the ranks of its alumni, perhaps the most from any organization of its kind.
